Ashton Alvin Allen passed peacefully in the arms of his parents on May 4, 2020. He was born eight days earlier on April 26 (his father’s birthday), 2020, along with his fraternal twin brother, Benson.

Ashton is the son of Robert and Rachel Allen of Provo, Utah. He is survived by four sisters, Mari, Liana, Ava, and Ella; and his twin brother, Benson.

Ashton was born with Trisomy 18 and was given a fatal diagnosis early in gestation. His parents feel so privileged to have been able to spend that week with him and are grateful he is a part of their forever family. We know Ashton has a great work to do in the service of God on the other side, and we look forward to having him greet each of us there one day.

“The Lord takes many away, even in infancy, that they may escape the envy of man, and the sorrows and evils of this present world; they were too pure, too lovely, to live on earth; therefore, if rightly considered, instead of mourning we have reason to rejoice as they are delivered from evil, and we shall soon have them again.” – Joseph Smith

Private Condolence

My heart was caught over the loss of your beautiful little Ashton and I wanted to send my warmest condolences to the family. To lose a baby, a part of you, can bring such overwhelming grief but the God of all comfort tells us at Psalms 139:16 He knew him even before you did and feels your pain. At we can read John 5:28, 29 that you will have your precious baby in your arms once again. May all the love you felt give you calm and peace to help you through the dark moments until God’s promises come true. Again so very sorry for your heartache.🐥

I love the sweet experiences that Marilyn shared with me of your video chats with the girls at home and your sweet boys in the NICU. That Ashton opened his eyes when he heard the voices of the girls. Just as I'm sure he did many times in the womb.
The cute things the girls were able to "do with him" via video; taking him down the slide and reading stories. What precious experiences and memories. Sending all our love to you Allen family! Marlene and family
