Pat and I became good friends almost 40 years ago when we were both living in Washington. When our first, shared, grandchild (Heather Leigh) was born we both wanted to spoil her rotten! At the time, Pat was a struggling single Mom. At first I was hesitant to spend as much as I wanted on Heather for fear it would offend Pat, but, she assured me it was okay with her, as she said "circumstances will change one day and I will get my chance". They certainly did change and she was able to bless all our grandchildren when I was too far away. I was envious, but, grateful! She was a wonderful person, and, I will miss her.
