Rebecca Day (Becky) Tuckfield, 55, of Austin, Texas, passed away on May 21, 2020, in Austin. Becky was born in Campbell, California to Virgie and Michael Day on August 21, 1964.

Becky went to West High School, graduating in 1982, and went on to attend Brigham Young University, where she met and married her husband David Tuckfield. They were married for 34 years--it would have been 35 in June-- and they had seven children, six who survive her.

Becky's life was marked by her adventurousness, her compassion, her trademark quick wit, and her love for her family. She and David started their marriage by moving to Japan, and always fostered a love of travel and adventure and culture in their children. She was a long-time volunteer for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Texas, helping give children a voice. She was much beloved by her church community and friends for the light and wisdom she brought into their lives, the ways she helped expand their worldview, how she supported them, and how she made them laugh.

Becky considered her life's work to be her family, and her children credit her for their successes and loving relationships with each other. They will strive to carry on her legacy.

Becky is survived by her parents, three siblings, six children (Bridgette Tuckfield, Bradford Tuckfield, Madeline Jorgensen, Robert Tuckfield, Sophie Tuckfield, and Emma Tuckfield), and two grandchildren. She will be sorely missed. She is preceded in death by her son, William Kent Tuckfield, and brother, Brant Day.

Funeral services will be held Friday May 29 at 2pm at Nelson Family Mortuary, 4780 North University Avenue, Provo, Utah, 84604, and will be streamed at Bishop Richard Jones, her brother-in-law, will conduct the service. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to CASA of Travis County:
