The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Reed Turnbow can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

A friend in the dark.

I was 12 years old in 1967 and the oldest of 8 children when my father was killed suddenly in a logging accident. As a young teenager over the next few years I experienced some very evil and dark lessons in my life. Then in 9th grade I was blessed to have a young handsome seminary teacher who knew my father and my family. He built a trust in me that I had lost and taught me the gospel over the next 4 years. Brother Turnbow was my friend and teacher. I married and moved away. Had 4 children, an alcoholic husband and was not living as I should. I came back to my little home town with my children as a broken sad woman in 1985. A miracle began. The Bishop was none other than Bishop Reed Turnbow. With his help as an instrument of the Lord he guided me back to the iron rod and a path I have followed to this day. I love this man and his family. He has always been a light to me and I am eternally grateful for his brotherly love and warm soul. Until we meet again. Juvon
