Mary Ann Olson Howard our beloved wife, mother, sister and friend passed away on Sunday September 5, 2021 after a decade long battle with breast cancer.

Mary Ann was born March 28,1963 to Heber and Joyce (née Whiting) Olson and has seven siblings: Eric, John, Susan, Elizabeth, Debbie, Bruce, and Shauna. She married Commander Andrew L. Howard, USN, on February 2, 2002.

A Christ-like example of patience, kindness, selflessness and righteousness Mary Ann spent much of her time caring for those around her. Those who knew her would say she was an angel walking this earth. Despite tremendous personal hardship, Mary Ann maintained an outward focus and a positive attitude always looking for the good in life. She worked hard to instill this perspective in her children, always letting them know it would “be ok”.

Mary Ann enjoyed listening to The Beatles and classical music, reading a good novel, laughing with her sisters, playing the piano, studying the gospel of Jesus Christ, and spending time with her family, especially in nature’s beauty. She is survived by her husband Andrew, her daughters Megan and Molly, and her stepchildren Garrett and Bailey.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at the Edgemont 5th Ward Chapel, 350 East 2950 North, Provo, on Friday, September 10th. A remembrance and gathering of friends begins at 1:00 pm, with a funeral service commencing at 2:00 pm. For family and close friends, internment will be at the Provo City Cemetery.
